The workshop Cologne, What Is Your Mother’s Maiden Name? will invite participants to produce site specific media through conversations, encounters and interactions with the city of Köln. The artist MAX DOVEY is looking to collaboratively develop a number of site-specific digital works / stories from different parts of the city of Köln for an immersive taxi ride taking place in June 2019. The participants will develop unique taxi rides based on the psycho-geography of Cologne. Using personality modelling and data analysis MAX DOVEY aims to design psycho-geographic tours of the city of Cologne based on each passengers personality. Workshop participants are invited to develop site speciic media that reflects different parts of the city of cologne for the taxi journey. All site specific media created as part of the workshop will be replayed in as part of the taxi journeys.

The aim is to create a series of tours through the city of Cologne based on each passengers psychological profile. Taxi's will navigate the streets into the inner thoughts and feelings of the passenger's personality. The outcome of the workshop will be a number of locative digital encounters with the city of Köln that will be presented as part of the Noordkaap Taxi project on SAT + SUN 9 6 – 16 6 2019.

No electronics experience is required but laptop computers and recordable media will be useful (microphones, cameras etc).

The project will be conducted in English.
