One component of the evening Exophony: How Do You Language were the readings by Max Czollek and Anna Schapiro.
Max Czollek read, among other things, from his poetry collection "Grenzwerte", which was published in 2019 by Verlagshaus Berlin. In Marschflugkörper from the same volume it says: "take me back to the shore / of your mouth to every word / that hums in sounds of war / die sprache zu wechseln / bedeutete nur das verwischen der eigenen spuren / nicht etwa laufen über wasser".
Anna Schapiro read from the text Fühlen Sie sich wie zu Hause, aber vergessen Sie dabei nicht, dass Sie zu Gast sind, which was published in excerpts in the journal Yalta - Positionen zur jüdischen Gegenwart 2019.
