Potosí Principle – Archive

With ALICE CREISCHER, ANDREAS SIEKMANN, MAX JORGE HINDERER CRUZ

The city of Potosí in today's Bolivia, based on colonial forced labor, was one of the most important silver mining areas in the world from the 16th to the 18th century. The exhibition Potosí Principle – Archive explores the question of where the principle of global exploitation can be found today.

The exhibition tour with the initiators of the project gives an overview of Potosí Principle – Archive and offers the possibility to deepen the contents of the exhibition as well as own questions. The focus is on the exhibited artworks and the thematic background of the exhibition. Last but not least, the 36 booklets can be explored and discussed together in the exhibition's own reading room. The curators of the project Alice Creischer, Andreas Siekmann and Max Jorge Hinderer Cruz, Artistic Director of the ADKDW, will guide visitors through the exhibition.
