Closing event of the PLURIVERSALE IV & King Georg summer party

mit NATURE THEATER OF OKLAHOMA, FOKN BOIS

Nature Theater of Oklahoma invites the audience to join in the making of a retro-science fiction film, a 21st century Alphaville shot over the course of several days set against the backdrop of Cologne’s architecture and the ever-construction-site Berlin. The audience is invited to participate in enacting and envisioning this site-specific performance for the camera, joining the film/performance’s heroes Dorothy and Joseph on a secret mission to Germany. It is a country on the verge of collapse, where extra-terrestrials who look exactly like humans but taste like pork are being imported from other planets for their delicious meat, and newborns are sent off to child-rearing camps in the southern German colonies of Greece. But even such drastic measures fail to revitalize the economy—because all the profits end up in the hands of one clever business man, Baron Bruno. Dorothy and Joseph suspect that he is secretly terrorizing the citizens with the monstrous Swamp Creature, which might just be a fantastically designed carnival float...

Filming will be conducted between June 15 and 25 at a variety of locations in Cologne. The grand finale of the shoot takes place on June 24 at 19:00 at the closing event of the PLURIVERSALE IV at Rheinauhafen. Updates at www.germany2071.de and www.facebook.com/germany2071
