radio in between spaces edition #15

With JO CAIMO & UBERMORGEN

Jo Caimo is a sound- and visual-artist, inventor, musician and radio-maker. His work is organized around stimulating and visualizing the energies between people. In this edition he will speak about self-built devices and platforms through which subconscious patterns and mechanisms in co-creation processes become perceptible, about framed chaos and the collective and artist-run-space Samenschool.

The artist duo UBERMORGEN, consisting of lizvlx and Hans Bernhard, are representatives of a radically subversive approach to data and matter, institutions and markets. Since 1995 the two internet and software artists have pioneered the net.art movement and creatively bring together code and language. We will talk about "Breitbart Red", work/website created in 2018, and contextualise current developments in right wing media and organisation.

Sonic Perspectives from the Global South. Sounding Hospitalities. Time, Sound and Emancipatory Practices. Radio as Activism.

In sonic lectures, live performances, conversations, compositions, documentaries, and radio plays, radio in between spaces is exploring the interplay of sound, public and private space, activist and artistic practice. International sound artists and experimental musicians, philosophers and theorists, critics and journalists examine questions of foreignness and proximity, solidarity and dissonance, vibration and materiality, meaning and noise, permeability and resistance.
