PLURIVERSALE V

The Academy of the Arts of the World is proud to announce PLURIVERSALE V, the upcoming autumn-edition of its bi-yearly season of events. PLURIVERSALE V looks at different forms of structural violence behind migration and cultural dislocation. As distant cities become war zones, gentrification and securitization militarize and segregate the urban spaces of the supposedly peaceful West. Refugees escaping direct physical harm now encounter violence of the more subtle, insidious variety. Age-old patterns of exclusion are joined by new means of forcible integration. In a dense program of talks, screenings, pop-up installations, performances, concerts, discussions, and an exhibition, artists, film-makers, writers, and musicians respond to the realities of crisis and coercion.
