The opening ceremony of the PLURIVERSALE VII will take place on September 29 at 6:30 pm at the Stadtgarten and in Studio 672 as an evening of multiple events. Welcoming remarks and introductions will be presented by Susanne Laugwitz-Aulbach, Head of the Cultural Department of the City of Cologne, Reinhard Krämer, Department of Culture and Science, NRW/ Head of the Department of Regional and International Cultural Policy, Elke Moltrecht, CEO, and Ekaterina Degot, artistic director of the Academy of the Arts of the World. Subsequently a talk will take place with activist Clara Balaguer and media theorist Florian Cramer about „The Moral of Xerox: Ethical Compexities of Appropriation“ (starting at 6:30 pm), the surreal fashion-concert „Chombotrope“ by the African-European Jitta Collective of Stephanie Thiersch and Kefa Oiro (starting at 9 pm), as well as the B2B DJ Set „Tropic High Winds Party“ by the two DJs Elephant Power and Nkisi (starting at 11 pm).
